Pronovo one-off payment 2026: rates, calculator, application

In short

How much one-off payment will I receive for my solar system?

For an attached system below 30 kW commissioned from 1 April 2025, it is CHF 360 per kW; for an integrated one, CHF 400 per kW.

An 8 kW rooftop system therefore receives CHF 2,880, a 10 kW system CHF 3,600. From 30 kW, the rate for the additional capacity drops to CHF 300 or 330 per kW.

Background

#

For solar systems below 30 kW commissioned since 1 April 2025, the federal one-off payment is CHF 360 per kW for attached and CHF 400 per kW for integrated systems; there has been no basic fee since April 2024.

An attached 10 kW system therefore receives CHF 3,600. You apply to Pronovo only after commissioning. For 2027, the Federal Council proposes an increase of CHF 40 per kW.

What counts for funding

#
  1. Rates for systems commissioned from 1 April 2025 (EnFV Annex 2.1 items 2.8 and 2.9): attached or free-standing CHF 360/kW below 30 kW, CHF 300/kW from 30 to below 100 kW and CHF 250/kW from 100 kW; integrated CHF 400, 330 and 250/kW. The basic fee has been CHF 0 since 1 April 2024.

  2. The capacity bands are calculated in steps: an attached 50 kW system receives 30 × 360 + 20 × 300 = CHF 16,800. What counts is the modules’ rated DC peak output, not the inverter rating. The minimum size for a one-off payment is 2 kW (Art. 36 EnFV).

  3. Pronovo distinguishes KLEIV for systems below 100 kW and GREIV from 100 kW. Anyone who forgoes self-consumption and feeds in all power can receive the high one-off payment (HEIV) of CHF 450/kW for systems below 150 kW (item 2.10) – but may then not use self-consumption for at least 20 years (Art. 33 para. 3 EnFV). From 150 kW without self-consumption, the amount is set by auction.

  4. Bonuses: systems with a tilt of at least 75 degrees, typically facades, receive an extra CHF 400/kW (integrated) or CHF 200/kW (attached) (items 2.7.1 and 2.7.2). The winter power bonus and the car park bonus apply only to large systems from 100 kW. Since 1 January 2026, the winter power bonus has replaced the former altitude bonus.

  5. Small systems apply for the one-off payment only after commissioning (Art. 41 para. 1 EnFV), via the Pronovo customer portal. The application includes a land register extract, the safety certificate or acceptance report, the certification of the system data and a declaration of whether the system feeds in everything or uses self-consumption (Annex 2.1 item 3).

  6. The subsidy comes with obligations: photovoltaic systems that received a one-off payment must be operated and maintained for at least 20 years so that regular operation and the minimum output expected for the site are ensured (Art. 33 EnFV); otherwise Pronovo can reclaim the payment.

The process in five steps

Tick off for your project

  1. Calculate the amount in advance

with Pronovo’s official tariff calculator or yourself using capacity per band × rate plus any bonuses. Rates depend on the commissioning date; new rates take effect on 1 April.

  2. Choose the variant

self-consumption with KLEIV or full feed-in with HEIV. The higher HEIV rarely pays off if a relevant share of the solar power would be used in the house, because self-consumption replaces grid power at the full purchase price.

  3. Commission the system

installation is followed by commissioning, the safety certificate and the certification of the system data. The application needs these documents.

  4. Submit the application

via the Pronovo customer portal, yourself or through the installer with a power of attorney. If you do not own the plot, the landowner’s consent is required.

  5. Wait for payment

Pronovo processes applications in order of submission date; payment follows the decision and the end of the objection period. Pronovo does not state a fixed processing time – so do not count the subsidy towards your down payment.

Checked for your roof, not just read up on

Once the framing is clear, a property-specific check with roof, grid and documentation is worthwhile.
