The PV feed-in tariff in Schaffhausen follows the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) quarterly reference market price in the SH POWER grid area in 2026; systems up to 30 kW receive a minimum of 6.00 Rp./kWh. How high is the PV feed-in tariff in Schaffhausen in 2026?

In the SH POWER grid area, exported solar electricity in 2026 is valued at the quarterly SFOE reference market price; SH POWER also states a 6.00 Rp./kWh minimum up to 30 kW. As of 27 August 2026, SH POWER’s Q3 2026 value has not yet been published; the SFOE lists 14 October 2026 at 12:00 for publication. The 6.00 Rp./kWh minimum also applies to the output class up to 30 kW named in the tariff schedule, not automatically to every system in Canton Schaffhausen. SH POWER phrases the 4 kW guarantees-of-origin threshold in two ways: automatic settlement up to 4 kW, but an agreement from 4 kW. Confirm the treatment of exactly 4 kW in writing.

What determines the right path.

The grid area is the first decision point. The published tariff schedule belongs to SH POWER and applies to feed-in to its grid; Canton Schaffhausen alone does not determine the feed-in tariff. Before quoting, assign the address to the responsible distribution-grid operator.

Since 1 January 2026, the quarterly reference market price under Art. 15 para. 1 EnG replaces a flat annual value where the producer and grid operator do not agree on remuneration. The SFOE publishes the price by 12:00 on the 10th working day after each quarter; Q3 2026 follows on 14 October 2026.

Installed PV output is the decisive quantity. SH POWER states a 6.00 Rp./kWh minimum up to 30 kW; for systems from 30 to 150 kW with self-consumption, the tariff schedule reduces the output-dependent minimum under the formula 180 divided by system output in kW, for example to 3.00 Rp./kWh at 60 kW.

Self-consumption changes the quantity, not automatically the tariff. A heat pump, wallbox, battery or ZEV reduces the surplus that is remunerated at all. For the remaining feed-in, SH POWER’s published SFOE values of 10.27 Rp./kWh for Q1 and 3.90 Rp./kWh for Q2 2026 are the concrete comparison points.

Guarantees of origin are a separate revenue stream. SH POWER states 2.50 Rp./kWh for guarantees of origin; for systems from 0 to 4 kW this amount is settled automatically with the feed-in tariff, while from 4 kW a separate purchase agreement, certification and registration in the Pronovo system are required.

Timing and the tax basis belong in the revenue calculation. SH POWER’s 2026 tariff schedule states feed-in and guarantees-of-origin remuneration generally excluding VAT; switching to HKN remuneration must be notified two months before the quarter starts and the Pronovo standing order confirmed no later than 14 days before the change.

How the project stays cleanly managed.

    Model self-consumptioncompare the load profile, heat pump, wallbox, battery and any ZEV or LEG structure with PV generation. Only the remaining surplus is valued at the relevant quarterly rate; the SFOE publication is exclusive of VAT and is not a fixed annual price.

    Calculate feed-in, guarantees of origin and funding separatelySH POWER lists 2.50 Rp./kWh for guarantees of origin, while Pronovo handles the one-time incentive as federal funding. The economic calculation should show at least self-consumption value, feed-in, guarantees of origin and Pronovo RU as separate lines.

    Trigger the guarantees-of-origin agreement and deadlines only where needed: for systems from 4 kW, certify the system data, register the system in Pronovo’s guarantees-of-origin system and request the SH POWER change two months before the quarter starts. The producer must confirm the Pronovo standing order no later than 14 days before the change.
