What counts are the Pronovo one-time payment and municipal programmes – in the City of Lucerne an additional 20% of the federal payment, a green-roof bonus of CHF 200/kWp, CHF 100/m² for steep systems and facades from 75° and CHF 300/kWp for low-glare modules. The canton funds bidirectional DC charging stations with CHF 2,000.
Permits and energy law
Adapted systems under 20 m² need no notification, except in protected townscapes and on buildings worthy of protection. Larger systems are notified to the municipality with the form at least 20 days before construction (§ 54 para. 2 PBV). Cultural monuments of cantonal or national importance always require a building application. Since 1 March 2025, new buildings and roof renovations affecting the covering or waterproofing must make appropriate use of their power generation potential; compliance is shown in the solar notification procedure.
