What determines the right path.

The grid connection point is the first hard boundary: SAK requires every vZEV participant to share the same grid connection point. Several buildings are possible, but proximity without a shared connection point is insufficient.

Grid level 7 must apply to every participant: SAK expressly names this level alongside the shared grid connection point as a requirement. Before committing to the model, the participant check must confirm the actual connection structure.

Generation capacity is a measurable decision: SAK requires PV capacity of at least 10% relative to grid connection capacity. Generator capacity and connection data must therefore be calculated against each other before preparing the agreement.

A vZEV is not merely a ZEV under a different name: in a vZEV, SAK meters remain in place and SAK issues one combined bill; in a conventional ZEV, internal metering and billing use private meters behind a shared house connection.

Consent is a contractual requirement: for a vZEV, SAK requires written consent from owners and, where properties are rented, from tenants or leaseholders. Without these documents, the application cannot be treated as a complete community.

Billing remains with the community: SAK provides 15-minute metering data and bills grid supply and feed-in as one combined bill. Internal allocation, invoicing and collection risk sit with the vZEV representative or an appointed service provider.
