Billing is split: WWZ determines the LEG shares exchanged through the distribution grid and bills each participant for grid imports, metering services and charges. Internal settlement of locally exchanged electricity remains the LEG’s responsibility; WWZ provides metering data but does not perform the internal billing.

The schedule starts before installation: WWZ requires notification at least three months before planned commissioning, and the LEG is formed on the first day of the next month after that period. The online check for NE7 is non-binding; the final technical decision comes only after a complete LEG registration.
